Goodfest 2019: ‘Goldfest’ ft. Tinchy Stryder

Goodricke College celebrated its 50th Anniversary and the end of exams in style on the 1st June 2019 with the Goodricke JCRC going above and beyond to make Goodfest, or for one year only ‘Goldfest’, a success. Goodfest saw pole dancers, student bands, DJ ‘Qwirk’, a samba band, cheerleaders, the college sports awards and, yes, the one and only TINCHY STRYDER take to the stage! Even the Goodricke mascot, Ricke (aka Stephen Stanley), made a memorable stage performance! With food vans, a “rollercoaster”, outdoor activities, bubble football, henna, tie-dye, face-painting, tombola and so much more on offer the day was unforgettable and undoubtedly made Goodfest one of the biggest student Hes East events of the year! The Goodricke College area was transformed into a gold decorated, fun-filled area attracting hundreds of students, alumni and local families to make ‘Goldfest’ a day to remember. Welcome to Freshers 2018

Hello and a big welcome to all our new freshers! Your College is your home while studying here at York, but more than that it is a vibrant and diverse community of students and staff. It is with that in mind that we at the JCRC welcome all of you to your new home at York: Goodricke College. Throughout the year the JCRC and the College Team will be working together to provide a range of events and activities for you to get involved with. From Freshers Week all the way through to GoodFest (just after exams), Goodricke College will be putting on a wide range of events and activities, including: GoodFood, the Winter Ball, BAME Events, LGBTQ Socials, RAG Events, Refreshers, and more.
